Editorial Team

Ethan Boldt, Editor
At Inside Direct Mail, Ethan writes and edits features and departments, works with outside contributors on article ideas and content, helps generate editorial lineups, and collaborates with the art directors for the overall design of the publication. He also oversees the writing and production of the e-newsletter Who's Mailing What! Insider, and is a contributor to Target Marketing's e-newsletter TM Tipline. Prior to joining the Target Marketing Group, Ethan wrote several books (including 5-Factor Fitness and two ghostwritten projects) and contributed regularly to many national magazines (including Men's Health, Alternative Medicine, Self, Parents, Maximum Fitness and Physical). Prior to his freelance writing, he was managing editor of Prime Health & Fitness (a former Weider Publication) and performed different editorial functions at Shape, Men's Fitness, Speak, Los Angeles Magazine and Box. Ethan graduated with a major in History and a minor in English at San Antonio–based Trinity University, where he was editor of the campus literary magazine for two years.

Brittany Brouse, Associate Editor
As Associate Editor, Brittany works within the Target Marketing Group to contribute story ideas, writing, and editorial design to Inside Direct Mail and its sister publications. Prior to joining the Target Marketing Group, Brittany worked in New York as a distribution manager for The Black Book Photography Inc. and a project manager for the AR100 Award Show, an annual report design competition. Brittany earned an English Literature degree from Skidmore College, where she was an editor for the Skidmore News.

Hallie Mummert, Editorial Director
Hallie Mummert is editor in chief of Target Marketing magazine and editorial director of Inside Direct Mail. In her position, she oversees the editorial direction and content of both publications, as well as Target Marketing's weekly e-mail newsletter, the TM Tipline. A graduate of Temple University with a bachelor's degree in journalism, Hallie has covered the direct marketing industry for more than a decade, specializing in direct mail, production, postal issues and alternate media.

Joseph Boland, Copy Editor
Prior to joining the Target Marketing Group editorial team in January 2008, Joe worked for Montgomery Newspapers, headquartered in Fort Washington, Pa. There, he was a sportswriter and editor, covering high school sports in the local communities of Bucks and Montgomery counties. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in journalism. Contact him at jboland@napco.com.
